Sugar Boys have been Montreal’s happiest (and only) time-traveling power trio since forming in late 2010. Now at the end of their first cycle, they are relaxed to present their first actual offering of ferric oxide: GENERAL STORE / BACK TO BUSINESS.
Six songs spread across 100 minutes of epic, nigh endless jamspace heaviness, General Store / Back To Business is the band’s debut release and a double-album to boot.
Each tape comes with this incredible 12”x18” poster for absolutely free.
The tape is available for purchase here in the Black Cheeks store and also at the Sugar Boys bandcamp.
After pausing for just over 3 years, Black Cheeks is getting back to putting out tapes.
I’ve been on a relaxing label-hiatus since Tonstartssbandht’s Parson Sounds c20 in December 2009.
But that changes this week with the premiere of the debut album by Sugar Boys. More info on that tomorrow…
Along with the Sugar Boys jams, you can expect new tapes from defunct Orlando free-boogie trio Blank Check ft. Juice, troublesome brothers Tonstartssbandht, and some deep-end 1980s home recordings from Orlando legend (and my wonderful dad) Edwin White.
Black Cheeks never really had a concise online HQ. This tumblr will serve as a simple yet thorough source of information on past present and future releases. Take it from me.
